Ensure the cabling connecting the computer to the drive is snug and secure. Cables are actually able to move out of their sockets with repeated shutdowns or startups due to associated expansion and contraction cycles. Screwing or clipping the cable to the drive can help reduce this problem.

Try re-recording the data onto a CD-R, if it was originally stored on a rewritable CD. This is useful in that CD-R’s are often more easily read by CD drives since they have improved physical recording processes. If the CD drive is old then the opposite may be true, in this case place a rewritable CD in the old drive, older CD drives will have more of a chance of reading this type of disk.

The computer BIOS needs to be looked at to ensure it is not corrupted. The BIOS can be found upon the initial boot-up process of the computer, usually by pushing a specific key, e.g. F1. Once in the BIOS the CD drive should be listed in the boot-up sequence. When booting up the computer, the CD drive should be listed in the right place, typically second within the drive sequence.

The driver(s) can be reinstalled by their careful removal from the ‘device manager list’. After this reboot the system and wait for Windows to install the driver automatically. Upon following this many small problems can be ironed out. If problems still persist you can remove the CD drive from the registry, then using the windows ‘device manager’ you can reinstall it.

If after having tried these basic methods of countering a data issue on your CD with no positive results you will most likely have to travel to a specialist data recovery expert. Specialists have an array of equipment and procedures that will more often than not yield good results fast.

Instructions
I tried something a little different, an Indo Chinese recipe Chicken
Manchurian. This dish is pretty popular but if you haven’t heard of it,
Chicken Manchurian brings the best of both worlds from Indian and
Chinese cuisine. I had never made this dish before and couldn’t find a
recipe I found very appealing. Although, there are almost countless
ways to make this, I decided to experiment a bit by trying two
different types of sauce. The first sauce I found to have very strong
flavor.

STEP 1

Wash chicken, add it to a cup of water with chopped carrots, cabbage
and onion. Cook with a pinch of salt and pepper until tender. Drain the
stock for gravy. Remove the chicken and shred finely. Let the veggies
cool for 5 minutes.

STEP 2

Now take a bowl combine all dry ingredients from (Maida, corn flour,
ajinomoto, salt) with chopped ginger, garlic, spring onions, cooked
veggies and shredded chicken. Form loose dough (remember the dough
should not be very thick, should be loosely packed, Maida and corn
flour are used just to bind everything together) and make small lime
size balls / dumplings and set aside.

STEP 3

Heat the oil and deep fry the dumplings in medium flame until they
are golden brown on the outside. Always try a small sample before
dropping everything in the oil, because sometimes the oil temperature
might be too hot and it will burn the outer part, and inner part will
be left uncooked. If you cannot resist your temptation, you can go
ahead and gobble a couple of dumplings. Drain excess oil and keep this
aside.

STEP 4

Heat oil in a wok, add diced onion, green chili, minced ginger and
garlic and salute over high flame. Add all 3 sauces (soy, green chili
and red chili) with sugar, ajinomoto and salt. Before it could burn add
the fried veggie balls and coat it with the sauces. Now reduce the
flame to medium, add corn flour diluted with 1/2 cup of water and half
of the spring onions. Simmer for 2 to 3 minutes and switch off. Garnish
with remaining spring onions and ginger pieces and serve immediately.

What can you do if your deal turned out to be a dud? Sometime it
happens to the best of us. There are a few cures that can help you ease
the pain or stop the bleeding so you can move on to your next project.

1. You can take a promissory note from your buyer for the part or
entire purchase price. If your buyer can give you a sufficient down
payment and you can negotiate dissent terms, you will be able to turn
around and sell your note to a note buyer to get your cash back.

2. If you are wholesaling your property to an investor who will
rehab and resell it, you can structure a note with no payments due
until he resells it.

3. If a deal turns out to be too thin and there is a lot of work,
you can partner with a rehabber to whom you are selling your property.
Your contribution to the partnership is your property and his is
materials and work. Once the project is complete and the property is
sold to retail buyer, you will spill the proceeds.

4. You can attempt to sell your property for what you paid for it or
even take a little loss. It’s always better to recognize that you’ve
made a bad investment, deal with the problem and stop the bleeding as
early as possible.

You should always remember when you make your offer; you have to
include enough room in the deal for someone else to make a profit.
Don’t be too greedy, you’ll always loose out in the long run.
